ICORN's humble beginnings took root in the early 1980's as an annual breakfast for the Illinois chapters at Congress, and progressed to a formal, organized state council. Roger Stone served as the first chair from 1984-1988.

UPDATE:
Wanda Dunkel, ICORN Pin Sales Chair is ready to send out the money your chapter earned by working at the pin booth at the Chicago Congress. She needs the address of the chapter Presidents to be able to send the checks out. Please let her know where to send them. You can contact her at pmwanda@netzero.net
Soon, Wanda will be sending out the information and schedule for selling the remaining pins in Denver.
UPDATE: MESSAGE FROM ICORN CHAIR TO MEMBERSHIP!
Dear AORN IL Chapter Presidents and membership,
It is approximately 4 weeks till the AORN Denver Congress. I am gearing up for a very productive week, as I am sure you are. By the time you receive this communication, your chapter delegates should have been submitted to AORN headquarters. Chapter 1407, Greater Peoria, has contacted me and they will have 2 delegate seats available. If any of the other IL Chapters have the need to have delegates’ seats filled, please contact me ahead of time and will make an attempt to contact other IL chapters to fill the vacancies. Any delegate additions and deletions/changes must be made at Congress. The schedule for Congress for the 2 House of Delegates (HOD) and 1 Forum has changed. The first HOD will be Tuesday, March 16th at 3:30 pm and the second HOD is March 18th at 12:30 pm. The single Forum is Wednesday, March 7th at 8 am.
We will be selling shamrock white and green scarves, in addition to leftover shamrock pins at Congress. Wanda Dunkel will be setting up a schedule for ICORN members to volunteer for time slots. If you want a specific time, the sooner you volunteer, the more apt you are to get a convenient selling time. (Just something to think about.) Wanda’s email address is pmwanda@netzero.com.
The ICORN Congress will be Monday, March 15th at 11:30-1300. Check your Congress booklet for the exact location as changes could occur prior to Congress. The meeting will be at the Colorado Convention Congress, Room 108 or at least that is what the communication from headquarters stated.

ICORN Meetings
ICORN holds two meetings yearly. The spring meeting takes place at Congress, and the fall is hosted by one of the state chapters.

We will be looking for a chapter to host the fall meeting in 2010! Please discuss this within your chapters. This will be a topic at the Congress Spring Meeting.
