Objective: The learner will be able to:
1. Describe 3 components to assess emergencies in the O.R.;
2. List the team & their role for emergencies in the intraoperative setting;
3. Discuss the contents & significance of the debriefing process

Italian Country buffet dinner is available for $ 23.00 and must be reserved in advance. The dinner includes rosemary chicken, penne pasta marinara, mixed greens three bean salad with pesto vinaigrette, veggie antipasto and garlic bread. The deadline for reservations is noon, April 5, 2010, to Lana Johnson at lanaraejohnson@hotmail.com or 408 972-7130. When emailing, please give your name, facility and a phone number where she can reach you if needed. If you are unable to attend after you have reserved a dinner, you must pay for the dinner. We are charged for the number of dinners that we reserve.
One contact hour will be given for the educational presentation. Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider number CEP 2168 for one contact hour.
Directions to Michael's at Shoreline: From 101 North or South: Take Shoreline exit East. Follow Shoreline Blvd approximately 1 mile. Continue through park entrance and follow the signs to the restaurant.
The May, 2010, meeting will be Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Michael's at Shoreline. This meeting will be for election of officers for the coming year and reports by the chapter Delegates on their Congress experiences, educational sessions and the business of the organization.
