Greetings AORN Members and Associates,

Fall is in the air! I just returned from a short vacation to Michigan where the leaves are beginning to turn beautiful shades of gold, red, yellow and orange. I am looking forward to the cooler weather here in Tucson soon.
Our September meeting was fun and educational. Dr. Robert Snyder and Sherri Romanoski both gave wonderful presentations. I would also like to thank Kathy
Di Pierro and UMC for the coffee, tea, and water which will be provided for all of our meetings this year.
The November meeting is very important as we will be electing delegates to represent our chapter at the National AORN congress in Washington DC this March. We will also have our "Fabulous Prizes" raffle. Please continue to sell those raffle tickets as the funds raised will be used to help send our delegates to congress.
Don"t forget the garage sale on November 5th at my house. The sign in sheet was misplaced at the September meeting, so give me a call if you can help on this day. Anything you can donate to this sale will be greatly appreciated.
We will be celebrating perioperative nursing week in November. Ellice Mellinger has done a great job planning an event to be held November 18th from 1300-1700. This is our chance to educate the public, and share with them the role that perioperative nurses play in delivering patient care.
