This past year has sped by, literally. There have been highs and lows for myself and the Chapter. However, dwelling on negative issues is very depressing. Therefore, we must focus on the positive. The combined Salt River/Phoenix and the Valley workshop was again successful. Our Chapter is "back on track" with great educational presentations each month. Thank you to Jackie Craig. Special thanks to Bonnie Ingram , who volunteered to serve as our Vice President through this year and next. Bonnie has been diligently acquiring amazing educational topics and speakers for our Chapter. The AZSCORN Committee is planning an exciting workshop for this November in Tucson. At our Chapter meeting in April, Dr. Paul Montanarella presented an excellent session on the Dynamics of Malignant Hyperthermia. An actual case that occurred in the Valley was discussed. There was great interaction between Dr. Montanarella and the attending members. May brings our Chapter Officer elections. Contact our Nominating Committee chair, Karen MacDonald, to have your name included on the ballot. Offices available are President Elect, Treasurer, and one Board Member. I ask you to thoughtfully consider this opportunity to serve. There are many mentors available who will be willing to provide guidance. May 12 is the last Chapter meeting and educational session until September. Please plan to attend.
