Organ procurement after cardiac death was presented to members at our February Chapter meeting. Gail Farrell and Jason Warner provided information that was necessary for every hospital setting, whether large or small, as organ donors are possible from either. We thank them for this educational opportunity. There is one Chapter meeting left to discuss proposed Congress issues that are on the agenda for our delegates. Please bring your January Journal to the March meeting to participate. If time allows, the candidates for National Offices will be covered. If there is not time to address the candidates on the ballot for National Offices, please contact your delegates prior to Congress by email or phone with your concerns. There will not be a formal Arizona Caucus meeting during Congress in Chicago. Instead, delegates, alternates and members plan to gather prior to the exhibit opening on Tuesday, March 17, following the first House of Delegates. As delegates and alternates will be at the House of Delegates session, Chapter members wishing input into the Arizona Caucus should be nearby when this session ends so their voices may be heard at this informal meeting. Chapter members please coordinate this informal meeting with your delegates so you are not left out. If there is an update on this topic, it will be shared at our Chapter meeting on March 10th. Your delegates will represent the Chapter well during Congress 2009. Please attend the March meeting to ensure your voice is heard.
