Delegates for 2009 Congress
Members, who wish to participate as delegates at next year’s Congress in Chicago, must fill out a Point Tally Worksheet and submit it to the President-Elect (Jackie Craig) at the June meeting.
The point system and worksheet are included in this newsletter. (See next page)

• The objective of the point system is to recognize a member’s chapter involvement and it is to be used as a guide by the membership for the selection of delegates to congress.
• Points will be accumulated from July 1st through June 30th of the current year (2007-2008) for election of delegates at the November 2008 meeting. The total points will be published in the October newsletter for the membership to review.
• Documentation of points is the responsibility of each member and will be verified by the President-Elect, Committee Chairs and the Membership Committee.
• To be eligible to run for delegate you must have been an active member for one (1) year.
• Active participation on a committee is defined as participation in at least 50% of the committee work as documented by the Committee Chair. The Chair is responsible for reporting to the President-Elect.
• Points may be awarded for other chapter or AORN activities at the discretion of the Board.
• The worksheet must be turned in to the President-Elect at or before the June meeting of the year that reflects the member participation. The President-Elect is responsible for preparing the worksheet, keeping it, reporting the points to the Newsletter Editor for publication and to report the points to the Nominating Committee Chair.
• The President and President-Elect are automatically delegates #1 and #2.
