September 2008 News
Our meeting began with a presentation by Diantha Miller MSN, CRNP entitled "The Mole Patrol". Each person present was awarded 2 CEUs.

Our Annual Seminar was held at the Battle House Hotel in Mobile, AL. It was a great success and the over all feed back from the evaluations were positive. We did have some things that were brought to our attention like parking cost and availability, and the lack of advertising of the Friday night reception. We apologize for these oversights and will make sure to correct them next year. Thanks to all of those who attended this year.

We are in the process of planning several activities this year. Possibilities are another CNOR prep course and also a course for those personnel working in the Central Processing department. You all are invitied to come to our meetings and make suggestions for future events and activites.

We have started the process of selecting the delegates for our chapter. These delegates will represent us at Congress in March 2009. Delegate nominations are selected by the nominating committee based on monthly meeting attendance and chapter participation. Our nominationg committee is in the process of putting together the ballot.

Please come and join us at our next scheduled meeeting. We would love to have you join us. There is free food and CEUs, not to mention seeing nurses from other hospitals and having the ability to network with them. You will find a calendar of all meetings and upcoming events under the "Events" tab in this web site.

See you next month!
