POLICY’S

1. This Council shall meet a minimum of one (1) time a year.

2. Meetings of the Council will alternate between Montgomery and Birmingham.
Any Chapter may request to host/sponsor a meeting at their location. The
sponsoring chapter assumes all responsibility for the Council meeting
including the date, communications, and food/beverages.

3. The Chair of the Council is responsible for the business agenda.

4. The minutes will be posted on the web site for review.

5. Elections shall be held annually. The Chair is elected on even years for a two (2) year
term. The Secretary/Treasurer is elected on odd years for a two (2) year term.

6. Alabama members present at the meeting will have voting privileges.

7. The Alabama State Council will make available to the current Chair an amount,
based on the current balance in the Treasury (not to exceed $400), for use at
Congress at the discretion of the Chair. If the Chair chooses to use the
aforementioned monies, an expense report will be submitted to the Council.






MEETING RULES

1. Any attendee may speak, but only Alabama members may propose motions and vote.

2. Whenever possible, motions shall be written and a copy provided for the Chair and
Secretary/Treasurer.

3. During debate, each speaker shall be limited to two (2) minutes.

4. None may speak twice to the same motions until all others wishing to speak have done
so.

5. Debate on any motion shall be limited to 10-15 minutes.
